Every growing season begins the same way: with a seed, a little faith, and the hands that tend to it.

At Bluestone Life, we believe meaningful change starts with people who care deeply about families, communities, and our planet. It grows when those people are given the resources and space to lead. Many of those leaders are organic farmers creating new agriculture models that prioritize shared benefits to restore balance between people and the land.

For too long, access to land and the resources to secure it has been limited. That’s especially true for those who want to practice organic and regenerative methods. But land is more than just acres; it’s stability, autonomy, and a way to leave something lasting.

That’s why Bluestone supports the Organic Farmers Association (OFA), a national organization that ensures organic farmers have a voice in the policies that impact their livelihoods and our health. Under the leadership of Executive Director Kate Mendenhall, OFA is advancing farmer-led policy grounded in equity, sustainability, and access to land. With secure land tenure, farmers can make long-term investments in their soil, grow healthier food, and pass something meaningful on to the next generation.

As part of our 1% for the Planet membership, we invest in high-impact nonprofits like OFA that fill a critical void not addressed by government or for-profit businesses. It’s about building a future where families, communities, and the planet all thrive.

The farmers leading organic farms today are building more than food systems. They’re revitalizing local economies and creating stronger communities. To learn more about OFA, check out their website at OrganicFarmersAssociation.org
